Poodles are really adorable! People really love their poodles. You can see them being dressed up, pampered, treated like almost royalty!

The American Kennel Club or AKC recognizes these three sizes of poodles; the Standard, Miniature, and Toy sized poodle.
The size of the poodles is determined by the height of the poodle at the shoulder. Their definition is listed here (with the exception that Teacup poodles are not recognized by the AKC):
- Standard poodles – taller than fifteen inches at the shoulder.
- Miniature poodles – at least fifteen inches but more than ten inches at the shoulder, and
- Toy poodles – at least ten inches or less.
- Teacup poodles – at least eight inches or less (not recognized by the AKC).
The Teacup poodles are growing in popularity and are even fetching high prices among poodle pups.
The poodle is said to carry an air of regality and dignity unseen in other breeds of dogs. Poodles are generally adorable and cute but they can also become fierce creatures at times. But, generally, poodles are very likable by their owners and people around.
